GLASS WOOL

ATTIC INSULATION

Quarantees & Qualifications

SPRAY-ON GLASS WOOL OR GLASS WOOL IN ROLLS, PAMTHER WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH THE SOLUTION BEST SUITED FOR YOUR ATTIC AND YOUR BUDGET

Glass wool with vapour barrier

Each year, residential homes produce more than 100 million tons of CO2. This alarming and constantly growing figure, makes domestic heating the second largest source of greenhouse gas emissions, after transport sector and before the industry sector!

It is for this reason that Knauf Insulation is part of the charity: INSULATE THE EARTH AGAINST CO2

Insulate your home with mineral wool :

Environmentally friendly. Mineral wool is a material produced mainly from sand and is designed to last :

Glass wool is a natural material produced mainly from sand and recycled glass. This insulation is one of those construction industry products which uses less energy than is needed to produce, transport and remove it. After a complete life cycle analysis of mineral wools, it appears that this insulation material perfectly comply with the requirements of a HEQ project. By reducing the energy use for heating, mineral wools play a role in reducing greenhouse gases.

Our achievements

Rolls of glass wool blankets covered with a chequered brown paper on one side as a vapour barrier.

Applications : Thermal and acoustic insulation of both inconvertible and convertible attic space.

Strengths of the insulating material : Very thick single layer & elasticity and draught proofing

SPRAY-ON GLASS WOOL
Thermo 046 is a spray-on wool designed and manufactured specifically for insulated attics that cannot be converted or are difficult to access. The quality of the wool, its thermal characteristics and its simplicity to use make Thermo 046 an ideal, effective and durable solution for insulating attics in individual houses (new build and renovations).

ADVANTAGES :
Limited movement in wind (see CSTB technical opinion 20/05-90). Neutral and anti-static wool: don’t place on iron or metallic elements present in the attic and does not contribute to corrosion. Non capillary and non-hygroscopic: does not absorb water vapour, does not contribute to the development of bacteria.

Applications : Thermal and acoustic insulation of inconvertible attics.

The benefits of Thermo 046 spray-on glass wool :
• High thermal performance with a lambda insulation coefficient of 0.046 W/(m.K) ACERMI certification: 05/D/016/410.
————————————————————————–
• THERMO 046 is non-combustible (M0) based on the CSTB reaction to fire classification report No. RA04 – 03751 Reaction to fire according to the EN 13501 standard (Euroclass): A1.
————————————————————————–
• In most cases, Thermo 046 satisfies the requirements of the New Acoustic Regulation (NRA). Thanks to its excellent dispersion, Thermo 046 reduces thermal and acoustic bridges.
